Monthly Awards and QGFA Awards Presentation Night

Friday 28th August 2026

It’s time to celebrate our Junior REEFIES club success!

Join us Friday night 28th August from 6 PM at the clubhouse on Altman Ave for a fun evening recognising our amazing juniors and small fry legends from the 25/26 season.

There’ll be plenty happening for everyone-tug of war with prizes, a sausage sizzle, raffles (meat trays for the grownups!) and a super interactive kids quiz.

All members and families are welcome, and if you’re not yet signed up, mums and dads can use the PlayOn vouchers to claim free membership through the government program.

The bar will be open, the atmosphere will be buzzing, and it’s all about fun and community.

Tackle World Airlie Beach Tuna and Billfish Rally

17-20 September 2026

The Tackle World Airlie Beach Tuna and Billfish rally kicks off on Thursday night the 17th September with a briefing and registration. This night will have guest speaker Damien Orth talking about the local billfish scene, stories from Cairns and many other tails. The BBQ will be cooking, and the bar open so come down and get involved.

Fishing starts on Saturday from 6pm and cease fishing is 3pm Sunday.

All fishing capture/tags need to be in to the clubhouse by 4pm for presentation.

Tackle World Airlie Beach Light Tackle Tournament

22-26 October 2026

Our premier event for the year with over 100 anglers fishing each year in Trailer Boats and Larger Boats where everyone’s got a chance at winning!
